Mini Sausage Rolls Recipe
Fresh out of the oven 😍 Golden and crispy Mini Sausage Rolls!
We are trying to resist jumping straight in and eating them all right now as I’ve decided these sausage roll minis will be part of our dinner tonight, served with homemade chips, baked beans and salad! A dream dinner! 💭
Recipe:
1 pack puff pastry (@asda)
400g sausage meat or mince meat (I used @kosherdeli_uk best steak mince)
1 egg
1 tsp of each – garlic, black pepper, mixed herbs. Optional – paprika, chilli flakes
Method:
1) In a bowl, mix together the meat and seasonings. Place the bole to the side.
2) On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pastry into a large rectangle. The thickness of a 10p coin. Slice the dough in half, lengthways.
3) Divide the meat filling between the two pieces of pastry. Line it through the centre as a sausage shape.
4) Whisk the egg and brush the pastry edges. Roll the pastry over the sausage and roll until sealed. Press firmly.
5) Slice the sausage rolls to your preferred size (I made super minis) and place on a baking tray.
6) Glaze with the remains egg and sprinkle over sesame seeds or poppy seeds of desired. Bake at 200c for 20 mins until golden.
