Cheesy Baked Hash Browns

Cheesy Baked Hash Browns Recipe

I love potatoes for one reason…you can use them in so many different ways! ๐Ÿฅ”๐Ÿ˜ And today I chose to use them in this fantastically crispy homemade cheesy hash brown recipe!

This recipe is honestly so simple and pretty quick too. It makes a change to making wedges, baked potatoes or roasties!
The only question you have to ask yourself is…do I eat them at breakfast, lunch or dinner? Or even a snack dipped in your favourite sauce (@heinz ketchup for me! ๐Ÿ…)

Recipe:

3 medium potatoes
100g cheddar cheese, grated
2 eggs
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
50g butter

Method:

1) Preheat the oven to 200c/fan 180c. Grate the potatoes with the skin on.

2) place the potatoes in a bowl and cover with ice cold water. To remove surface starch.

3) Squeeze any excess liquid from the potatoes and place in a clean, dry bowl.
4) Melt the butter and add to the potato. Add the grated cheese, eggs, garlic, paprika and black pepper. Mix well.

5) Take a handful of the mixture, shape into a ball and place on the baking tray. Flatten gently.

6) Bake for approx 40 minutes or until brown and crispy. Allow to cool for 5 minutes and enjoy warm.
