5 Healthy Snacks For Kids

Easy and Healthy Snacks For Kids

I think you will nod your head with me when I say:

It’s become so easy to give kids chocolate bars and junk food due to our busy lifestyles.

Not just that but also healthy snacks often cost more than the junk food and take longer to prep. It’s honestly no wonder why so many kids these days become addicted to junk snacks before the age of 12.

Or is it?

In this blog, I’m going to be providing five snack ideas for kids you can make quickly and not need to take out a mortgage to buy the ingredients.

Snack one

Fruits

Yep, that’s a simple one, buy my god does fruit pack a punch of everything your kids will need.

It’s probably the best snack for kids on the planet.

Here is why:
Fruit contains lots of vitamins and water, which will almost instantly keep your kids hydrated through the day and keep them healthy.

Snack Five

Popcorn

There are not that many nutritional benefits of popcorn so it won’t serve as the most healthy snacks for kids, but it does have some benefits such as:

  • It can help lose weight (low in fat and you can east fairly large portions)
  • keeps your blood sugar in check
  • It’s a whole grain (each kernel contains the bran, germ and endosperm.)
  • It contains a small number of vitamins (calcium, copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and more)

Make sure you have no salt or general seasonings on the popcorn as this would take away the benefits of this snack.
